We initially set up our web site in 2006 whilst wintering aboard “S/Y Market Lady” in Sardinia. We would update it more or less monthly and added various features which resulted in a fairly large site, of which we felt quite proud. Sadly at the end off 2011, our then hosts treated us and many many other of their clients, extremely badly, leaving us all offline for weeks at a time, with no promise as to when “normal service” would be resumed. So we changed to our present hosts, but unfortunately we had to rebuild our site from scratch.

This now is our new site which we are updating regularly again, but also trying at the same time to bring back onto the site

“THE STORY SO FAR”.

For practical purposes we have decided to do this by outlining the adventures between  2001 and 2011 on various pages, but under the overall umbrella of this page, whilst placing entries for the present in the form of a ‘Blog’ – a word I hate but one that seems possibly appropriate under the circumstances. The ‘Blog’ will appear on our site as “POSTS” while the Pages will have tabs at the head of all the pages on which a click will take the reader direct to the topic. Further pages on that topic will then be listed in the right hand margin.

Our retirement adventures commenced in 2001 when we moved aboard our self fitted out narrow boat, “Free Spirit”. We hope you enjoy reading those adventures and others as we gradually update our site to the present. Meanwhile we thank you for your patience and hope you do not give up on us!!
